Ms Simmons-Brown is well known in the community from her years of legal practice. Her interest in acupuncture began when she was the patient. So, when she had the opportunity to live in China for 3 years, she studied the techniques which had been so helpful to her as a patient. After returning to the United States, she sought additional specialization in the use of acupuncture in the treatment of addictions and is licensed as an Acupuncture Detox Specialist (A.D.S.)
